Launched in 2014, SAICA’s Top 35 under-35 competition has proved to be a huge success in recognizing and exposing young CAs(SA) under the age of 35 who are not just achieving extraordinary results in their professional capacity, but also having an immense, tangible impact on society.

SAICA is looking for 35 of the most outstanding and promising CAs(SA) under the age of 35. With tremendous dedication and energy, these young, inspiring people are shaping the future of our country – these are the leaders of tomorrow. The Top 35-under-35 competition, is SAICA’s intention to showcase and recognise these remarkable young CAs(SA) as they positively influence business and impact our communities.

These young achievers are the innovators who are driving change and taking the lead in business.

The 2016 exclusive list of the Top 35-under-35 young CAs(SA) boasts remarkable portfolios of significant success for their age. They have displayed leadership, personal determination and drive, all of which has taken them to where they are today. In some notable way or another they are also looking beyond themselves and making a meaningful difference by giving back to the community and those less fortunate than themselves.

The panel of prestigious judges interviewed each finalist, after which an overall winner was selected, Mose Kutadzaushe, who is the founding director of Supreme Brands and an Investment specialist at Investec Asset Management. Supreme Brands is a company that manufactures and distributes toilet paper in Zimbabwe. The company has generated revenues in excess of R70 million since its inception and currently employs 77 people. Supreme Brands currently supplies all leading retailers in Zimbabwe and occupies more than 80% of the nationwide toilet paper shelf space in some retailers. Also selected were the winners in other categories, including Corporate (Huzaifah Elias—Director of Africa Operations, GUD Holdings (Pty) Ltd) and Academia (Nico van der Merwe – Associate Professor in Financial Reporting, North-West University).

Mose will represent SAICA at the global youth summit, One Young World, which is a conference that brings together the brightest young leaders from around the world, empowering them to make lasting connections in order to create positive change.
